Model Range
7.5m
LIMOUSINE (230-315 hp)
The first Seahorse yacht tender
prototype was a 7.5m limousine type intended for stern
launching via slipway onboard an Abeking & Rasmussen new-built in 1999. Styled
by Donald Starkey, this tender is equipped with a 250hp Yanmar®
diesel engine with a Hamilton®
waterjet, allowing speeds of up to 34 knots.
Its launching weight of just 2800kgs was achieved
through the adoption of a composite hull, constructed by the vacuum-bag method
to ensure a fibre content of 60% in the completed laminate. The standard
dimensions include a beam of 2.6m, draft of 0.5m and a limited total height of
about 1.35m. A special feature of this boat is its hydraulically operated bow
door (folding gangway), enabling beaching without wet feet.
Our second boat, also a limousine, is similar,
but the engine has been upgraded to 315hp and the Hamilton®
waterjet replaced by a Mercruiser®
Bravo III Sterndrive. It was built using a wet laminate process with vinylester
resin, for a slightly increased launching weight.
7.5m
SPORTS (230-315 hp)
A sports version (with centre console), based on the same hull and with
identical overall dimensions but with a Hamilton®
waterjet, has also been developed and brought into production. Due to its open
deck layout this type is ideally suited for water sports and has a more casual
character. New photos can be found in the
photo gallery..
6m LIMOUSINE
(120-230 hp)
We are currently developing a 6m limousine, also styled by Donald Starkey. With
a launching weight of less than 2000kgs, this will be an ideal tender for
mega-yachts in the popular 34-50m size range. Customers will be able to choose
from a variety of outfitting options.
6m SPORTS (120-230
hp)
A centre console sports model, similar to the 7.5m sports version but based on
the 6m limousine, will also become available.
